Our church library is designed to reflect and support our Unitarian Universalist Principles. There are books that address our church history, important issues such as freedom of speech, thought and religion, social justice concerns, and spiritual and religious viewpoints, covering all world religions and liberal and secular ethics. There are also books by and about Arkansans, poetry, biography, and more.
Members and Friends are invited to check out books – just fill out the book card in the pocket, place it in the box on the counter in the library, or on the book stand in the Community Hall. Return it to the baskets in those same areas so that others may enjoy reading them. For more information, questions, or suggestions, please contact the current Library Coordinator, Sara Seaman.
The library is named in honor of Rev. Dr. Hearn, for all his contributions of books, thought-provoking ideas, friendship and the pure joy he has added to our community. Rev. Hearn frequently filled our pulpit, and conducted numerous seminars over the years at UUVC before he passed away in March of 2021.
