A Brief History of the Unitarian Universalist Village Church

  • The Congregation was founded in 1965 as the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Hot Springs, with 14 members.

  • In 1996, the Congregation of 27 moved to the Village to rented facilities and changed its name to the Unitarian Universalist Village Church.

  • In 2010, with a membership of 72, UUVC bought the church building at 403 Barcelona Road.

  • In 2015, we celebrated our 50th Anniversary.

  • Reverend David Ruffin served as a part-time developmental minister from August 2016 until February 2017.

  • Reverend Mark Walz became our permanent minister In August 2017.
